The September chapter meeting will be a potluck picnic and appreciation for Jerry Olsen and his efforts over the years helping members build airplanes, help the air show, help with Young Eagles, and everything else he has done for us over the years. Potluck will start at 6:30 at Tom Hoyt Park after some trash pickup starting at 5:30. Bring a main or side dish and the chapter will provide dessert, soft drinks and coffee. Come listen to Jerry's stories, tell stories about him or talk about Oshkosh. | ||

The program is open to kids 8-17. Participants will get a free, 20-minute flight along with a commemorative photo and certificate. Free lunch is also included for the kids. Parents can pay $3.00 if they would like lunch as well. The Young Eagles Program has been developed by the EAA Aviation Foundation to welcome young people into the world of aviation. Aviation is exciting and vital to our nation's future. They will experience a safe and enjoyable flight that will give new perspectives on the world and life in general. Participation in the Young Eagle's Program will help them understand that an individual's potential is unlimited. | ||
