The February issue is dedicated to our Jerry Olsen.

Ocean Air Flight Services will once again be offering a private pilot groundschool course, Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6pm to 9pm, starting February 2nd.

The course will be taught by Gerry Barron using Jeppesen training materials.

The only charge for the course is $100 which will be applied to the LaserGrade FAA written test upon successful completion of the course, and purchase of the Jeppesen text book (approximately $85) and Test Guide (approximately $19).

Attendance is free for EAA members wishing to "brush up" on their pilot knowledge, or share some of their own experiences with the rest of the class.

May 3-May 6, 2010, EAA is offering historic flight experiences in its beautifully restored B-17G Flying Fortress “Aluminum Overcast.” This aircraft is an example of the American heavy bomber that helped turn the tide of battle in World War II. Fly a mission back in time and feel the might of this magnificent aircraft, just as those brave young men did more than 50 years ago.

 Scott, Ken, Mike and Rob got the internet link working into the EAA Hangar and we now have WiFi inside and actually outside the hangar.  It seems to work in the parking lot and on the ramp in front of the doors.  The doors do not have to be open for you to get a signal.

We are using the airport internet connection through an RF link building to building.  So far it has been problem free but let Scott or I know if you have any issues.   It is unprotected, like the WVI connection in the terminal, no password needed.
